FACE LIFT
ABOUT
Facelift
Facelift procedures aim to lift and reposition facial tissues that have descended with age, restoring a refreshed and natural appearance.
Each procedure is customised based on the individual’s anatomy, areas of concern, and degree of facial laxity.
Procedures offered include:
- Brow Lift
- Upper Eyelid Lift
- Mid-Cheek Lift
- Endoscopic (Scarless) Facelift
- Lower Face Lift
- Neck Lift
Procedure Duration
The length of the surgery varies based on the areas being treated and the complexity of the correction.
In general, facelift procedures may take several hours to complete, depending on individual needs and the surgical plan.
PROCEDURES
Suture Blepharoplasty VS Open Blepharoplasty
A double eyelid is an eyelid that forms a fold when the eye is opened. Patients may undergo an upper blepharoplasty to create a double eyelid. This may be done by suture methods or open incisional methods.
| Suture Blepharoplasty | Open Blepharoplasty | |
|---|---|---|
PROCEDURE |
A quicker operation that causes less swelling. | The skin is directly sutured to deeper tissues, and excess muscle, fat, and tissue may be removed. |
Best Suited For |
Patients with relatively thin upper eyelids. | Patients with thicker upper eyelids. |
Durability |
In thicker eyelids, the suture may cut through tissue, causing loss of fold and recurrence of the single eyelid over time. | The created fold is deeper and more permanent, with less risk of fold loss. |
Scar Visibility |
No visible external scars. | The incision is well concealed in the eyelid crease and invisible when the eye is open. |
Recovery |
Quicker recovery and less swelling. | Takes slightly longer, and swelling takes a little longer to recover. |
INDICATIONS
Who May Consider This Procedure
Facelift procedures may be considered by individuals who experience:
- Sagging brows or forehead lines
- Drooping cheeks or mid-face volume loss
- Loose skin along the jawline or neck
- Early signs of facial ageing but who are not ready for a full facelift
Treatment plans are personalised after medical consultation to determine which areas would benefit most from lifting or tightening.
SAFETY
Risks & Considerations
Complications after facelift surgery are uncommon. When they do occur, they are usually temporary and manageable with appropriate care.
Your surgeon will discuss all potential risks and how they are managed during consultation.
Skin breakdown (necrosis) may occur, particularly in individuals who smoke. It is strongly advised to stop smoking at least one month before and after surgery to support proper healing.
Temporary weakness of facial muscles can occasionally happen following surgery and generally improves as recovery progresses.
AFTERCARE
Recovery & Follow‑Up
Patients may experience mild swelling or bruising for approximately two weeks.
- Makeup can typically be applied after about one week, once the skin has recovered.
- If sutures are used, they are usually removed after one week.
- Most individuals return to work within 1–2 weeks, depending on recovery progress.
- Follow-up visits are scheduled to monitor healing and provide guidance on skincare and scar care.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be asleep during the procedure?
The surgery is performed in a licensed medical facility under conditions that prioritise patient comfort and safety.
Will people be able to see my scars?
Incisions are strategically placed along natural lines and within the hairline to keep them as discreet as possible. With endoscopic techniques, no visible facial scars are expected.
Will my face look natural after surgery?
Facelifts are designed to restore a more refreshed, youthful appearance while maintaining natural facial expression and proportion.
How long will the results last?
Facelifting does not stop the ageing process, but it can help turn back visible signs of ageing. Over time, the face continues to age naturally.
🩺 A full evaluation with an MOH-accredited doctor is required to determine suitability for the procedure.
